It’s all about passion for music . . . and we invite you to celebrate with us!

Our Excelsus Salons celebrate the spirit of collaboration with unique opportunities to hear exceptional music in intimate settings. Here we combine food and friends, conversation and culture, music and mentoring while sharing with the community and supporting music education, too.

Each Salon features established performers, as well as young or emerging talents who benefit from valuable performance experience. For everyone, it’s an opportunity to broaden our horizons, connect with likeminded enthusiasts, and reach out to the community through music.

Be a Salon host

With the assistance of our events coordinator, you can create your own Excelsus Salon. The combinations are virtually limitless: each Salon features a unique blending of performance and place, as well as a mentor component that involves both experienced and emerging performers. Choose from a wide range of musical styles, include performances by friends and family, or enjoy the spotlight yourself as performer or emcee. As sponsor, it’s your choice!

Everything You Need to Know about Hosting a Salon for Excelsus Music Collaborators

Host Duties:
• Provide venue (home, park, member club or small business) with seating for 40-60 people.
• Invite your friends; we will give you as many invitations as you need for this! This event is a “friend” raiser as well as a fundraiser.
• Provide soft drinks and food: punch and cookies to a full buffet – hosts’ choice.
• Sponsor professional musicians through Excelsus ($300-$500). Excelsus will arrange and coordinate the musicians for the host. The style of music, Jazz, Steel Drum, Classical String Quartet or anything else is the hosts’ choice.
• Sponsor postage for invitations.

Excelsus is responsible for:
• Creating, printing, labeling (from Excelsus mailing list) invitations.
• Providing student performers.
• Contracting with professional musicians as appropriate to the Salon theme.
• MC event. Jen, the passionate music lover, at her best!
• Provide wonderful wine courtesy of our wine sponsor Bonny Doon.
